ごく小さな火の鳥のバラード The Ballad of Micro Phoenix
《ごく小さな火の鳥のバラード》では、生命の言語である DNA 配列を主な素材として、さまざまな実験的な楽器の形をした動く彫刻を制作しています。このプロジェクトの最初のアイデアは、2つの疑問から生まれました。
1、微生物のような非人間的な存在が、その生物学的システムの中で特定の出来事を観察し、記録することは可能でしょうか?
2、場所の記憶を持つ微生物に埋め込まれたメッセージを、私達はどのように読み解くことができるでしょうか?
“The Ballad of Micro Phoenix” utilizes the language of life, namely the DNA sequence, as primary materials for creating kinetic sculptures in different forms of experimental musical instruments. The initial idea of this project evolved from two questions. Firstly, is it possible that non-human beings like microbes, can observe and inscribe particular incidents within their biological systems? Secondly, how can we decipher those messages, embedded in those microorganisms who contain the memories of the places?
