内なる歌 Inner Song

現在、作品の中では主に自分自身を描いています。
その理由は、宗教、女性性、日本とオーストリアのハーフであること、アーティストであることなど、様々な要素に分解可能な自身のアイデンティティについてじっくりと調べているためです。私にはこれらの要素は全く別の、相容れないかけらたちのように感じられます。別々のレイヤーや素材を一つの作品に融合させるという私の作業過程は、自分の中のそれらの断片をどう統合しようとしているかを反映するものだと思っています。

In my current works, I am mainly depicting myself. The reason is that I am examining my identity, which can be broken down into various elements, such as religion, womanhood, my half-Japanese, half-Austrian heritage, and being an artist. These elements feel like very different and often incompatible fragments to me, and I think my work process of fusing separate layers and materials in one single work is a reflection of how I am trying to unite all those fragments inside myself.
