インスタレーションは、対面する二つのビデオで構成されます。
右側の Zoom のやりとりでは、日本人女性が伝統的な舞踊の動きを見せています。左側では、花嫁衣装を着て仮面をつけたキャ
ラクターが、その動きを追って再現しようとしています。このプロジェクトは、かをる(退職し中之条に住む女性)と私(スイス出身・在住のビジュアルアーティスト)、二人の出会いを通じて、日本とスイスの文化を繋げることを目指しています。
The installation is composed of two face-to-face videos. On the right, a zoom session shows an elderly Japanese lady sketching traditional dance movements.
On the left, a character dressed in a wedding dress, wearing a mask, follows the movements trying to reproduce them. The project “Dancing With Kaoru and My-Other-Self” seeks to create links between Japanese and Swiss cultures, through the encounter between two people: Kaoru, a retired lady living in Nakanojo, and myself, a visual artist born and living in Switzerland.
