YAMASE made a fortune as a lumber merchant in the Edo period. The mountains have changed their role and appearance over time. Charcoal burning once flourished. The power grid from the nuclear power plant in Fukushima ran through them, and now solar panels line them.

Now that people have fewer opportunities to enter the mountains, nature is returning. On the other hand, the power lines are the foundation of our convenient life. In the past, mountain deities were closer to us and wished for a bountiful and safe harvest.
Perhaps it is time to give thanks for the existence of energy through the mountains. In this place, standing between nature and artificial energy, we question the relationship between the two, using wind as a metaphor.
