実家は幼稚園でした。記憶にある最初の作品はその砂場で作った、お団子山でした。
楽しくて楽しくて、無我夢中で作って、生ききっていた姿に今一番憧れています。
中之条ビエンナーレのファンで毎回観に来ていて初めて参加できたこの年、幼稚園が解体されることになりました。
ずっと側にあった砂場にユンボのタイヤが乗った翌週、中之条での制作が始まって体育館を開けると、ここで生ききったらいいさ。これからもできるさ。となんだか抱きしめてもらったように感じました。
When I was in kindergarten (my family ran the kindergarten), I was obsessed with playing in the sandbox to make sand moun-
tains with lots of mud balls stuck together. It was my first work.
I admire the child who had pure creative energy at that time.
I’m a fan of the Nakanojo Biennale and visit it every time. This year, I’m participating for the first time. The kindergarten was
dismantled one week before I started creating work for the Biennale.
When I opened the gymnasium door where I created work, I felt like the venue hugged me and told me that I could do anything
here and that I could continue to do it.
