When we look back on our memories of departed days or recall someone, we sometimes remember the clothes we wore. The clothes we wear casually in our daily lives carry the memories and stories of our individual lives. Some of the old clothes collected from people living in Nakanojo have the owner’s name written on them, and some still have tags from boutiques and dry cleaners in Nakanojo. I cut out a piece of old clothing that was worn by someone in the town and sew it together with another piece of old clothing that was worn by someone else. The town we see today is made up of the daily lives of the people living in the town.
