杉木立に囲まれた神社の境内。夕暮れのうす暗い木々の狭間に、毎日ひとつの言葉が煌煌と浮かびあがる。
その姿は文字が光る大きな絵馬をおもわせるが、そこに浮かびあがる言葉は神さまに祈る願い事ではなく、どこかの誰かのこころにある詩情が、ふいに前ぶれもなく境内の片隅に直結し、立ち顕れるあいまいなシグナルである。
何故そこにそのようなものが現れるのかはわからない。それはただ狐火のようにしばらくの間、ぽっと燃えあがって燐光を放ち、やがてまた闇に吸い込まれて消えていく儚い灯火である。
作品点灯 19 時まで
The precincts of a shrine surrounded by cedar trees. Every day, a set of words emerges brilliantly among the dark trees in the dusk. Those words emerge unexpectedly at the corner of the precincts. Though at first sight it reminds us of a large votive tablet with shining letters, the words are not prayers to the gods, but ambiguous signals of poetries in someone’s heart which are evoked and directly connected to the place. No one knows why such a thing would appear there. It’s just a fleeting light that flares up, emits phosphorescence like a foxfire for a while, and then disappears sucked into the darkness.
