山の風景 2023 Mountain Landscape 2023

吾妻郡に移住して以来、山が身近になり、山々から人間味のようなものを感じるようになった。
東吾妻町から中之条の山々を見た風景から始まり、榛名湖アーティスト・レジデンスでの滞在から榛名山と榛名湖、北軽井沢での滞在から浅間山、そして妙義山麓での滞在制作より妙義山と、山の近くでの滞在経験を元に「山の風景」を描いている。
はじまりは約3メートルの長さだった絵が、山と出会う度に伸びていき、中之条での制作が終わった今は約 14 メートルの絵巻となった。

Since moving to Agatsuma in Gunma Prefecture, I have become more familiar with the mountains and have come to feel a kind
of human touch from them. First, I started to make the long painting “Mountain Landscape” with a view of the mountains of Nakanojo from Higashi-Agatsuma Town. Next, I moved on to Mount Haruna and Lake Haruna at the Lake Haruna Artist Residency in Takasaki City, and after that, Mount Asama from my stay at Sweetgrass in Kita-Karuizawa. Finally, I worked with
Mount Myogi from the artist residence at the inn “sazare” at the foot of the mountain. The painting, which started about 3 meters long, has grown each time I encountered the mountains.
Now, after completing the work in Nakanojo, it is a picture scroll about 14 meters long.
