In the 19th century of theater, there was a device called “Pepper’s Ghost.” This device used the reflection of light on a transparent board to create ghosts on stage. With this device, the audience of the 19th century witnessed something on stage that did not exist in the world. At first glance, the image created by the reflected image is nothing more than a reflection, but because the existence is ambiguous, another perspective arises, which may be similar to the sensation of watching an image. Based on these considerations, I will exhibit works that reconfirm what is fundamental to images while using various materials.
