関さんを探せ!- イサマムラ関会館 - Find Seki-san! - Isamamura Seki Kaikan-

ソーシャルメディアなどで人との繋がりを可視し、他人の行動やコミュニケーションをパソコンからの覗き見することが当たり前になった今、隣近所に住んでいる人と人との繋がりが逆に薄くなっているのではないでしょうか。このプロジェクトはビエンナーレが開催される中之条町に多く見られる苗字「関」に焦点を当て、関さんをはじめとする地元の人に協力して頂き、中之条町に住んでいる関さんを探し記録して行きます。人との出会いを継起させる時の流れを、関さん達を介して可視化することになるでしょう。

In actuality, it has become commonplace to visualize connections between people through social media, and to peek at other people’s actions and communications via the screen. I think this has led to connections between people who live in neighborhoods to become weaker. This project focuses on the connections of the surname “Seki” which is common in Nakanojo, where the Biennale is held. With the help of Mr. Seki and others, we will be able to visualize the flow of time that causes successive encounters among people.
