長い間、弾かれていない楽器は、
かたく閉じて、まるで深く眠っているようだ。
ほこりを払って、鍵盤に触れる。
はじめは少しぎこちなく音がかえってくる。
伊参小学校に残された古いピアノに、
従来のメカニクスを残しながら、脈拍を音に変換して
自動演奏する装置「Hacked piano」を取り付け、
作品化した。
来場者にはぜひ、自分と共鳴する音を探してみてほしい。
会期中、たくさんの人に触れられることで、
この楽器は変化していくだろう。
いのちの響きのなかで、
ひとも楽器も、自然へと調律される。

Working on the old piano left at Isama Primary School, I installed a “Hacked piano” a device that converts your pulse into notes
that are played automatically, while retaining the piano’s existing mechanics.
Audiences are warmly invited to touch the keys and discover the notes that resonate with them.
