Graduated from Slade School of Fine Art. Wuttin Chansataboot is a Thai media artist traversing seamlessly through diverse disciplines, ranging from the immersive landscapes of moving image to the realms of multi-media installation. His project, “The Metamorphosis of Self and Identity in the Digital Era,” secured him the Celeste Prize in the Project Prize category in Milan, making him the sole Asian recipient in 2015.

Recipient of gold and silver medals at the National Exhibition of Art, the longest running visual art competition in Thailand, Chansataboot currently imparts his artistic experience as a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University. He earned a Ph.D. in Visual Arts from Silpakorn University in 2020, focusing on the influence of virtual interaction on self and identity in the social network realm.

Delving into the philosophical foundations of creative expression, Chansataboot directs his intellectual focus towards fluidity and the inherent impermanence of datasets within the intricate structures of communication and language. These conceptual elements wield significant influence, shaping perceptions of reality, crafting visual identities, and redefining representations across a spectrum of subjects.

For Chansataboot, ‘language’ transcends mere human interaction, evolving into a lexicon encompassing commands or symbols in dialogues between humanity and the non-human sphere. This expansive perspective, spanning from inanimate objects to living organisms and mechanized systems, prompts transformative shifts at the elemental level of all existences.
