This exhibition is based on a fictitious setting where Hinoki Saruto, a forgery folklore scholar, staying in a guest room of Sawatarikan.

Saruto Hinoki is a fictional character that I enacted in the audience-participation play, “Okinoshima Art Project vol.3 / Real RPG Camp.” This avant-garde theatrical performance did not have a complete script at the time of the opening due to a mistake on the production side, so the performers had no choice but to patch up the story in fragments from the unfinished script. Ultimately, as a desperate solution, the punchline revealed that “The series of performances is a play set up by a certain publisher, and in order to create a hit, it is an experiment in which the audience physically experiences the plot of an unfinished novel and writes the ending.”
