海を見るシリーズ - 破片 See the Sea Series - Fragments

チュアン･ホー Chuang Ho Chuang Ho

記憶を通して海の波のイメージをいくつも描き、夜の海の風景をつなぎ合わせます。連続的に見えますが、本来は不連続です。ストップモーション・アニメーション自体が、幻想的な意味を持っています。夜になると、真っ暗で巨大な海に引き寄せられ、何も見えなくなります。月明かりの反射で、いくつかの白い線だけが見え隠れしています。それは海そのものの姿ではなく、海を知るための手段に過ぎないことがわかります。

I draw several images of sea waves through memory and piece together a seascape at night. It looks continuous, but it is discontinuous in nature. Stop-motion animation itself has an illusory meaning. At night, you are attracted by the huge dark sea, and you can’t see anything. You can only see some white lines appearing and disappearing through the reflection of the moon-
light. You will know it is not the appearance of the sea itself, but just a way for you to know the sea.
