自然のイメージを抽象化し人工物に付属する装飾は、作者不明の美しい表現。装飾文様の無限に広がるような連続性は、生命力を私たちに与えます。
古代から近代の文様様式を参照しながら、装飾という行為とその表現について考えてみたい。中之条の植物をメインで用いて、世界の様々な装飾文様のパターン構成を試みます。

Abstracted images of nature and the ornamentations attached to man-made objects are beautiful expressions of unknown authorship. The endless succession of decorative patterns gives us an image as if it were life. I would like to consider the act of decoration and its expressions by referring to ancient, medieval, and modern styles of ornament patterns. Using mainly plants from Nakanojo Town, I will attempt to compose various ornament patterns from around the world.
