ひと連なりの部屋を観察する。散歩をするように部屋を眺める。その中からトリガーを見つけ、小さな操作を加えていく。それはほとんど生活と地続きで、鳥が好みの素材で巣を作るとか、芋虫がさなぎになる時のポーズであるとかと同じかも知れない。あるいは、突拍子もないと思っていた考えが、実は身近な出来事だったり、無意識の躓きのようなものへの眼差しにも似ている。
Observe a series of rooms. Look through the rooms as if I was taking a walk. Find the triggers in the space and add small manipulations. It’s almost like a part of daily life, such as the way a bird builds a nest out of its favorite material or the pose of a caterpillar as it forms a chrysalis. Or perhaps an idea that I thought was outlandish is actually a familiar event, similar to the way we look at things like unconscious stumbling points.
