六合の奥地に野反湖という美しい湖がある。一見すると自然湖だが発電用のダム湖である。昭和 30 年代に作られた風景は自然との共生関係を感じさせる。一方で発電されたエネルギーは都会に供給され続けてきた。白砂川周辺にある発電所も同様だ。過去には群馬鉄山をはじめ多くの資源も中央へ供給されてきた。自然界に存在するエネルギー資源を人類は利用し続けている。特に都市部におけるその関係性は一方通行だ。地方と都市の関係性とも重なる。一方通行が共生、相互関係になることはあるだろうか。滞在制作中、エネルギーに感謝する気持ちを持ち制作に励むことから始める。

There is a beautiful lake called Lake Nozori in the interior of Kuni. At first glance, it looks like a natural lake, but it is a dammed lake for power generation. The landscape, created in the 1950s, reminds us of our symbiotic relationship with nature. On the other hand, the energy generated has been continuously supplied to the city. The same applies to the power plants located around the Shirasuna River. In the past, many resources, including the Gunma Tetsuzan, were also supplied to the center. Humans continue to use energy resources that exist in the natural world. The relationship, especially in urban areas, is one-way. This is the same as the relationship between rural areas and cities. Is it possible for a one-way relationship to become a symbiotic and mutual relationship? During my residency, I will start by appreciating energy and working hard on my work.
