2019 年に中之条で暮らす人々から集めた古着を再構成するインスタレーション作品。ここに住んだ一族の衣服が収納されていたであろう箪笥の引き出しにはタグが付けられている。衣服をしまう箪笥には、生活の記憶がしまわれている。古い衣服が着ていた誰かを想起させるように、古い家屋に残る形跡は、私たちがここに足を踏み入れる前にあった暮らしを想像させる。過去の暮らしを想うことは、私たちが土地や時代、時間の流れのあいだに暮らしていることを再確認させる。
This installation includes old clothes that were collected in 2019 from the people of Nakanojo. The family who lived in this house would have put their clothes in drawers that had tags. There are memories in the chest of
drawers that we put our clothes in. Traces in the old house make us imagine previous lives that were here before we came. It is like old clothes that make us imagine someone who had once worn them. Thinking about past living makes us realize we live in the land, age, and flow of time.
