2017年から始まった「自分」という存在とそれを受け止めてくれた存在との関わりへの意識は、それを支える大地へと展開し、そして、山や森と人との関わり、その位置について拡がっていった。 今回、林業の現場へ入らせてもらった。その中で、この世界に流れる時間や、見えていなかった山の姿、そして人間の存在についてぼんやりと、しかし強く感じていた。私は、伐採の行われた場に畑の畝の様に残された枝葉から素材を集め、ぼんやりとしたものを紡いでいくことにした。 「この世界の中で私たちはどこにいて、どう生きるのか？」

Starting in 2017, I became aware of the relationship between the existence of “Self” and the existence that accepts it. From there, my thoughts spread to the land that supported that relationship. Furthermore, my thoughts expanded to the positions and relationships between mountains, forests, and people. For this event, I visited a forestry site, and I felt a vague but strong sense of time flowing in this world, the appearance of the mountains I could not see, and the existence of human beings. I decided to collect the branches and leaves left behind in piles by the loggers, resembling a farming field’s ridges. From the vague feelings of this area, I began the process of creation. “Where are we in this world, and how do we live?”
