世界最古の洞窟壁画群は絵画史の最初に位置づけられている。それでは世界最新の洞窟壁画とはどんなものか？誰かが今の時代に洞窟の壁に絵を描いたとしてもそれは時間経過とともに古くなる。でも、もし網膜に映る前のイメージを壁画としてみせることができればそれは最新の洞窟壁画と言えるのかもしれない。コロナ渦の私たちは、洞窟に住み壁に写る影絵のみを見て生きている人間のように引き篭りがちな生活を送っている。私の作品は洞窟内で見る影絵のようなものだ。長い洞窟を出た時私たちはそこにどんな現実を見るのだろう。

The world’s oldest cave paintings are positioned at the beginning of the history of painting. So what is the latest cave painting in the world? Even if someone now draws a picture on a cave wall, it will get old over time. But if the image before being reflected on the retina can be shown as a mural, it may be said to be the latest cave painting. In the corona vortex, we live in a cave and live a life like humans looking only at the shadowplay on walls.　My work is like a shadow puppet in a cave. What reality can we see when we leave the long cave?
