ときの昇華 Sublimating Time
３年前、私の家に初めて仏壇が設置され、それから私の父は毎朝仏壇に手を合わせるようになりました。ある日、私は仏壇の戸棚の中から小さくなったローソクが入れられた箱を見つけました。私はそれを見た時、その一つ一つが何かの結晶のように見えました。小さくなったローソクは、火を灯すことで消えていったローソクの代わりに、目には見えない大切なものをもっていると私は感じています。
Three years ago, a Buddhist family altar was installed in my house for the first time. Since then, my father has prayed at the altar every morning. One day, I found candle ends in a box in the cabinet of the altar. To me, each one looked like a crystal, a result of something that has crystalized. Although the burnt parts of the candle are no longer here, I feel the candle ends contain something important that cannot be seen with our eyes.
