農地から姿を消していった古い農具たちと出会ったのが 2017 年の春でした。農民や職人によって改良に改良を重ねて作られた農具は、木や藁などの自然素材でつくられ造形的にも美的にも素晴らしいところがあります。いつの日からか撮影した写真にコンピュータを介在させ農具それ自体を「農の魂」として捉えるようになりました。映像化した『Farming soul』はその表れです。そして『Farming soul』を NET 配信用の素材として使っています。
In the spring of 2017, I found old farm tools that had disappeared from the farmland. Agricultural tools made by farmers and craftsmen through repeated improvements are made of natural materials such as wood and straw and are beautifully shaped and aesthetically pleasing. One day, I started to think about agricultural equipment as the soul of agriculture by interposing a computer in the photographs taken. The visualized “Farming
Soul” of my work is a manifestation of that. Also, I use “Farming Soul” as a material for NET distribution.
