図工の授業で時々目にするキット教材。全員に平等に素材を提供でき、完成イメージや作り方まで載っているものもある。しかし、このキット教材はちょっと違う。中身は一つひとつバラバラ。完成イメージも作り方も一切載っていない。わかっているのは中身が中之条ビエンナーレから出た廃材であること。この非同一・不均質なキット教材を手にした子どもたちは、一体何を感じ、何を思うのか。そして、廃材たちは子どもたちの想像力/創造力でどんな姿に生まれ変わるのか。図画工作科教材のあり方を問うラーニングプロジェクト。
Teaching kits with materials are something you sometimes see in drawing and craft classes. When using teaching kits, you can provide materials equally to everyone, and some of them have guidelines for a finished piece or instructions on how to work with the materials.
However, this teaching kit is a little different. The contents are disjointed one by one. There are no guidelines for a finished piece or instructions on how to work with the materials. What we know is that the contents are waste materials from the Nakanojo Biennale.
What on earth will children think and feel when they see the various and diverse materials in this teaching kit? What new appearance will waste materials have after being reborn through children’s imagination and creativity? This is a learning project that asks what the teaching materials for the department of drawing and crafts should be.
