《聖域》は部屋の中にもう一つの部屋を作ることで生まれました。舞台や祭壇、あるいは夢のような存在として空間に漂うそれは、私の瞑想する心が反響して現れています。やさしく揺れる布に囲まれたこのインスタレーションは一種の儀式空間です。布には、蜂、さえずる鳥、鯨のための神社が印刷されています。擬人化された「ヒエロファント（神官）」と呼ばれる存在たちが儀式のために集いました。それらは紙の切り絵やファウンド・オブジェクト、眼球にまつわるオブジェクトで構成されています。《聖域》には、環境に潜む音をフィールドレコーディングした、サウンドインスタレーションのコラージュも取り入れています。

Sanctum is created in a room built within a room. It hovers in the space, like a stage, an altar, a dream. It is an echo of my meditation-mind. The installation is a ritual that is framed by hanging cloth that gently moves. The cloth is printed with images of Shrines, to Bee, Songbird and Whale. Anthropomorphic beings called Hierophants are gathered for the ceremony. They are composed of papercuts, found and ocular objects. Sanctum integrates a sound-installation collaged from field recordings of found elemental sounds.
