香の実践 Incense Action

私の作品は家族の宗教儀式に着想を得ています。その反復的な動作は、私自身の精神的な実践へと発展しました。香を焚くという行為が、私の主な表現手段となったのです。キャンバスや紙の上に、香を特定の順序で並べ、それに火をつけることで独特の跡が残ります。私はこの一連の行為を「香の実践」と呼んでいます。香は私にとって、干渉されることなく流れる時間と生命の象徴です。この行為を通して、時間の経過と存在の有機的な流れを捉えることを目指しています。

My artwork is inspired by family religious rituals, where repetitive actions evolved into my personal spiritual practice. The act of burning incense became my primary medium. I arrange incense in specific sequences on canvas or paper, allowing it to burn and leave unique marks. I call this process “the actions of incense.” Incense symbolizes time and life for me, with a sense of non-interference. Through this act, I aim to capture the passage of time and the organic flow of existence.
