つむじ足湯では足湯に浸かりながら家族同士でお話をしたり、他県や別の国から来た人との小さな交流があることを聞き、また外の景色では木々で鳥たちが集い、お話をしているように見えました。それらはまさにつむじ足湯独自の素敵なローカルコミュニティだと感じました。私は今回ペットとして家で飼っているキンカチョウの「ふぁぷ太」をモチーフとして、登場させています。昔のオフラインゲームのようなローカルコミュニティの並行した世界に癒やされたり、思いを馳せたり、また繋げるような役割としての作品となれば幸いです。

At Tsumuji Footbath, I heard families chatting while soaking their feet, and noticed small exchanges with people from other prefectures and countries. Outside, birds seemed to gather in the trees and talk. I felt that these moments truly reflected the unique and wonderful local community of Tsumuji Footbath. This time, I used my pet zebra finch, “Faputa,” as a motif. I hope this work brings healing, evokes memories, and connects people to the parallel world of local communities, similar to those found in old offline games.
