変化することが苦手です。
好きな漫画の海賊団に、新たに加わった5人目が嫌いでした。
反対に、昔から変わらない美味しさのすき焼きふりかけが好きです。
制作中のお昼は毎日それとご飯です。
自分が動いた跡を筆の線で残していきながら
今回のテーマ「光ノ山」を想った時、
自分のそれは今大事な人達や時間が無くならないでいる世界なのかもしれないと思いました。
でも嫌いな5番目は今では一番好きになっていて
手を動かすと線は増えていく。
理想郷は遠いなぁと、変わらない美味しさを今日も味わっています。

I’m not good with change. I came to dislike the fifth member who had newly joined the pirate crew in my favorite manga. In contrast, I’ve always loved the unchanging taste of sukiyaki furikake. During production, I have it with rice for lunch every day. As I leave traces of my movements in lines drawn with my brush, my thoughts drift to the Nakanojo Biennale’s theme, “Mountain of Light.” Perhaps, for me, it represents a world where the people and moments I hold dear never disappear. And yet, that fifth member I once disliked has somehow become my favorite. As my hands move, the lines continue to grow. My utopia feels far away—but still, I savor the same familiar taste again today.
