私は人間と自然の関わりの一つの在り方として作品制作を捉えています。
本作では《approach》と題したシリーズの、重力や空気との関わりによってフォルムを成形する白い網目状の彫刻作品によってインスタレーションを構成します。
養蚕業の廃材などの提供して頂いた木材から、作品の制作台や鑑賞者の為の椅子を作ります。
現地の物事と関わりながら生まれた作品に、中之条の地形や風土から想起される山や繭のイメージを重ねます。
I see the creation of artwork as one form of the relationship between humans and nature. This installation is composed of a series of white mesh sculptures titled “Approach,” which are shaped by the relationship with gravity and air. From wood provided by local people, such as waste wood from sericulture, I will make a production table for the artwork and chairs for viewers to sit on. The work, which was created while engaging with local materials, will be overlaid with images of mountains and cocoons evoked by the topography and climate of Nakanojo.
