Animation art director Yoji Takeshige and painter Marie Ikura held a workshop at Kuni Elementary School. In the first session, Takeshige introduced background artwork from the anime projects he worked on and demonstrated how to paint skies and clouds. The children’s eyes lit up as they watched the delicate brushwork that brought the sky to life. In the second half, all ten students of the school joined in. They spread out a large piece of cloth and, using large brushes with plenty of paint, enthusiastically painted the Kuni sky. The layers of color created by the children gradually filled the entire cloth, transforming it into a single, large artwork. The piece, spread under the blue sky of Kuni, sways in the wind happily, just like the children’s hearts.

Workshops were conducted in July 2025 for all students at Kuni Elementary School.
