この世を生きることで心身に付着するチリの内、特に心に付着するモノを私たちは「世のチリ」と呼称します。身体に付着するチリ同様、「世のチリ」もまた、この世で生きる限り、付着することから逃れる術はありません。しかし、これを逆側から見れば、私たちが生きるということは、むしろ「世のチリ」が付着するということであり、「世のチリ」が付着したということは、確かに生きたということになります。従って「世のチリ」はそれ自体が、私たちが生きた証であり、そこには何かしらのエネルギーが生じて然るべきであると考えます。
As we live in this world, both our bodies and minds get “dust” stuck to them. The kind that especially sticks to our minds is what we call “Yo no chiri.” “Yo” means society in Japanese, and “chiri” means dust. Just like the dust on our bodies, we can’t avoid this mental dust as long as we’re alive. But seen another way, to live is to have “Yo no chiri” stick to us. And the fact that this dust has stuck to us is proof that we’ve truly lived. So in that sense, “Yo no chiri” is a sign that we’ve lived, and it holds some kind of energy within it.
