この作品は、地域住民の方々にご協力いただき集められた不要な家具を用いて制作した。
自身のルーツとは離れた中之条という土地で、個人史や環境、時間の痕跡が濃く染みついた素材を観察し、分解する。
作品を設置する空間を通じて、素材の持つ空気感やエネルギーに向き合いながら、それらが内包する痕跡をひとつの風景として表現しようと試みた。
土地や特定の人物の物語を語るのではなく、場所そのものに包み込まれるような風景をつくることで、身体的な経験から得られる意識を再現する。
This work was created using unwanted furniture gathered with the cooperation of local residents. In Nakanojo—a place far removed from my own roots—I observed and dismantled materials deeply imbued with traces of personal history, environment, and the passage of time.
Through the space in which the work is installed, I engaged with the atmosphere and energy contained within these materials, attempting to express the traces they hold as a singular landscape. Rather than telling a story about the land or specific individuals, I sought to recreate a state of awareness grounded in physical experience—by composing a landscape that envelops the viewer in the presence of the place itself.
