様々なモノをつくる過程の手法や構造、姿勢に関心をもち、行為の痕跡について表現と研究、考察を行なっている。
作品は自身の生活、経験の延長線上に生まれる。
しかし手を動かした後、その意味を振り返り理由を知っていく過程には、自身の生活を超えた事象や歴史を知覚することが不可欠だ。そのプロセスは、作る過程の充実度やその可視化を重視する私の制作活動にも精通している。
昔から手を動かして何かを作ったり作業したりすることが好きだが、それは何かを作りたいという欲ではなく”つくる”という行為自体に執着しているように思う。
I am interested in the methods, structures, and attitudes involved in the process of creating various objects, and I engage in expression, contemplation, and research on the traces left by these actions.
My works emerge as an extension of my daily life and experiences. However, after engaging in the act of making, the process of reflecting on its meaning and uncovering the reasons behind it inevitably requires perceiving phenomena and histories beyond my own life.
This process closely aligns with my artistic practice, which emphasizes the fulfillment found in the act of creation and its visualization.
I have always enjoyed working with my hands, crafting, and engaging in manual tasks—not out of a desire to create something specific, but rather out of an obsession with the act of “making” itself.
