1991年生まれのエリース・ラウルは、エストニア出身の写真家、写真研究者、アーティストであり、現在は日本に在住し勉強をしています。彼女の芸術活動は、ストリートフォト、陶芸、絵画、詩に焦点を当てています。精神性、神話、人間の記憶に関連するテーマと、現代社会において絡み合う個人と集団の歴史に関心を持って取り組んでいます。ラウルはエストニア芸術アカデミーで写真と現代アートを学び、2019年に学士号、2021年に修士号を取得しました。現在は筑波大学大学院、芸術学博士課程3年生です。
Eliis Laul (b. 1991) is an Estonian photographer, photo researcher and artist currently living and studying in Japan. Her artistic practice focuses on street photography, ceramics, paintings and poetry with an interest to topics related to spirituality, mythology and human memory, but also personal and collective histories that are intertwined in contemporary society. Laul has studied previously photography and contemporary art at the Estonian Academy of Arts (BA 2019, MA 2021) and is currently a third year Ph.D. student in Art, in the University of Tsukuba.
