現在、私はガラス、鏡、プラスチックといった反射素材と光を用いて作品を制作しています。光源が素材を照らすと、光と影が複雑に絡み合います。
この作品のタイトルは「ミニマル・ラグジュアリー」です。銀色のプラスチック板に線を刻み、半円状にしました。このプラスティックに刻まれた線と光源の組み合わせにより、天井、壁、床に様々な光の模様が投影されます。この作品は、アイスランドで見たオーロラからインスピレーションを得たものです。オーロラは、私がこれまで見た中で最大の光のインスタレーションでした。
Currently, I make my work using reflective materials, such as glass, mirrors, plastic, and light. When light hits the surface, a complex interplay of reflections and shadows is created.
This work is called “Minimal Luxury.” I used silver plastic boards, engraved lines, and made a half-circle shape. The combination of these engraved lines and the light source projects unpredictable patterns of light on the ceiling, walls, and floor. This work was inspired by the Northern Lights, which I saw in Iceland. The Northern Lights are the biggest light installation I’ve ever seen in my life.
