「時のつながりや時代を越えて受け継がれること」を木と糸を使って表現している。

木という素材は、時を経て成長した年輪があり、時の重なりと蓄積が見える。

養蚕で栄えた短い期間、お蚕さんと人々がとても親密に過ごした時があった。
人々もお蚕さんも互いに寄り添っていた、その想いを木に刺繍する。
表側と裏側がある刺繍。表裏一体でもあるエピソードや想いを糸で紡いでいく。

六合に何度も行き来し、滞在した際に譲って頂いた杉、山桜の木を使って制作した。

I express “connections through time and things that are passed down generation by generation” using wood and string. Wood contains growth rings that show its growth over the years. You can see the passage and buildup of time. During the short period when sericulture prospered, there was a time when people and silkworms lived very close lives. The closeness between people and silkworms is expressed through this embroidery on wood. The embroidery has a front and a back. Two sides of the same coin are woven with thread to convey stories and feelings. I created this work using cedar and wild cherry wood that were given to me during my many visits and stays in Kuni.
