“If You Hear Me” is a solo installation and video art piece born from the participatory work “Sound of Your Heart.” It bridges the quiet, unseen lives of Filipino migrant workers in Japan with the often romanticized view of migration back home. Through fragments—songs sung in solitude, drawings in color, memory maps, and cherished personal artifacts—this work gathers emotional traces of displacement, resilience, and longing. Each object, lyric, or mark becomes a whispered call across distance.
