戦中、私の出身地である東京都北区滝野川から約三千人あまりの小学生が中之条町や四万温泉に疎開していた。
これは小国民と呼ばれていた頃の子どもたちの記録。

During the later years of World War II, about 3000 elementary school students from my hometown of Takinogawa in Kita Ward, Tokyo, were evacuated to Nakanojo Town and Shima Onsen. This is a record of the children at that time, who were called “Shou Koku Min” (The Emperor’s little future soldiers).
