山は映し、鉄は照らす The Mountain Reflects, the Iron Illuminates

国内の鉄鋼産業として希少な歴史を持つ「旧太子駅」。六合の自然と人々の営みが築いたその産業の痕跡は、静かな変化を伴いながら佇んでいる。ふと視線を上げると山々が連なり、当時の記録にも写された雄大な自然が広がっている。その景色を前に、日々生きる時間が僅かな時である事を体感する。自然と人がそれぞれの循環をもって交わり風景を作り出す。私もこの地に訪れ、歴史に触れ、その体験を風景にする。鉄という一つの素材を手がかりに辿り着いたこの場所で、自らの作品もその連関の一部となり又、歴史を紡ぐ一つの手となる事を望む。

The former Oshi Station holds a rare place in Japan’s steel industry history. It stands quietly, marked by traces of an industry shaped by Kuni’s natural surroundings and the lives of its people. Looking up, mountains unfold—majestic and still, as seen in historical records. Before this enduring landscape, I feel how fleeting and precious our daily time truly is. Nature and human life intertwine, each moving within its own cycle to shape the land. Visiting this place and encountering its history, I seek to turn that experience into a landscape. Guided by a single material—iron—I arrived here. I hope my work becomes part of this ongoing connection and contributes to its quietly unfolding history.
