Nakanojo Biennale 2021: Schedule Adjustment Notice (Updated September 30)

The Nakanojo Biennale 2021 was originally scheduled to open Saturday, September 11, but has been postponed due to the spread of coronavirus.

A new schedule will be decided based on government announcements from the national level and the Gunma prefecture.

The original exhibition period was from Saturday, September 11 to Monday, October 11, 2021. However, the schedule of Nakanojo Biennale is currently being adjusted.

The event is currently closed. Please plan your visit to the Biennale after we announce the new schedule.

Opening Conditions (as of September 30):

*The event will not open immediately after the following conditions are met. 

1) Gunma prefecture reduces its alert level to three or lower. Also, the state of emergency for Kanto ends (Gunma, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, Tochigi, and Ibaraki)
2) Discussions with the town and the executive committee are finished
3) The new schedule is announced

Depending on the changes, the Biennale will close on November 30th at the latest.
