私の芸術制作の中心は、自身の体の有無にかかわらず、パフォーマンスがベースにある。手法は、映像、パフォーマンス、彫刻、写真、インスタレーションなどさまざまなメディアを横断する。作品は常に、特定のメディアについて考えること、近づくことへのはじまりとなっている。

私の作品の根底にあるのは、構築/再構築される、映像のためのセットを用いた空間的ステージだ。制作をしていない時間について考えると、労働条件や生産条件といった制度が見えてくる。そのため、主な関心は映画や文化産業にかかわるプロの同業組合や工芸に寄せられている。

不安定な労働・生産条件、普段の言葉遣いに見る階級差別、自身の制作と生産性とのアンビバレントな関係、成功と失敗の基準。私は主に、それらにかかわる疑問について取り組む。私の作品は通常、私自身の生産性を最適化する機会、感情によって現される作品、実体のないものがもつ言葉からはじまる。個人の失敗とは、今日の社会的成功についての考えと結びつく。ここで大切なのは、目にすることのない女性の仕事の現実を可視化することだ。レジスタンスは動作やジェスチャー、またはクィアフェミニストの言葉の中に姿を現すことができる。記録空間としての身体は、それ自体がパフォーマンスをする舞台だ。それはジェスチャーのための、文化的・社会的・経済的なヒエラルキーを探る果てしない場となっている。

 

The centre point of my artistic production is performative based – with or without the physical presence of the own body. My practice works cross-media primarily in video, performance, sculpture, photography and installation and is always the starting point of the reflection and approach to the specific medium.

Spatial staging through re-/constructed film sets and stages constitutes the basement of my artistic work. By focusing on the off-moments of artistic production, institutional working and production conditions become visible. For this purpose professional guilds and crafts, which are linked to the film and culture industry, advance to the centre point of interest.

Mainly, I deal with questions about precarious working and production conditions and classism in everyday language use, especially about my own ambivalent relationship to production and productivity as well as criteria for success and failure. The language of intangible and affective work and the opportunities to optimize my own productivity are often the starting point for my artistic practice. The apparently individual failure of oneself is related to the collective ideas about the success of our society today. Of particular importance for this is the making invisible working realities of women* visible. More specifically, how resistance can manifest itself in movements and individual gestures and could be transferred into a queer-feminist language. The body as an archive becomes a performance stage itself: a continuous site of gestures that aims to explore cultural, social and economic hierarchies.
