ボーハン・ルー
彼の作品の多くはミクストメディアを用いる。絵画、モデル、写真、パフォーマンス、映像、アートプロジェクトなどのさまざまな方法で、歴史、記憶、システム、自然における人間の位置と、それらと人間との関係を探る。

イーシェン・スー
彼女の作品の多くは彫刻とインスタレーションだ。また、パフォーマンス、映像、アートプロジェクトなどミクストメディアを組み合わせることもある。自然と人類、場所と物語の関係を探求し、あるがままの姿から現代の生活スタイルへと変化する身体感覚に着目している。

今回は、二人が協力して参加するはじめての展示となる。自然の変容と、人文科学と歴史の位置づけは、常に彼ら共通の関心事だ。場の地域性、物の象徴性、パフォーマーたちの相互作用、作品を介した想像力のための場。二人が注力するそれらを、作品を通して見ることができる。

 

BO-HAN LU
Most of his works are in the form of mixed media. He tries, with various creative forms such as painting, model, photography, performance, video, and Project Art, to explore the position of human being in history, memories, system and nature, and the association of human being with them.

YI-HSUAN SU
Most of her works are sculptures and installations. She also tries to combine mixed media such as performance, video, and project art with her works to explore the relations between nature and humanity, sites and stories, and to focus on the transformation of human body sensation from the nature to the contemporary life pattern.

This is the first time the two artists cooperate to participate in an exhibition. The transformation of nature and the positioning of humanities and history have always been the common interests of the two. It can be seen from the works that two artists focus on the locality of the sites, the symbolicity of the objects, the interactivity of the performers and the space for imagination revealed by the works.

About “Circle” (the artwork in Nakanojo Biennale) :

Brown and green,
Air carries the fierce wind.
Grassland responds to the call of nature,
Nothing can hide,
even the interspace of everything.

Standing still,
They hand over the clothes to another’s flesh,
staring at the “white” propped up and floating down,
trying to make the ideal circle.

But the floating clothes reveal the deformation in every exchange…

Standing still,
They ignore the distortion of their pride.
