クレアの作品は主に紙で展開されますが、他の素材やモノも使って自身の宇宙を創り出しています。水彩絵具、鉛筆、インク、アクリル、ガッシュといった伝統的な描画技法を使って絵を描き、それを切り抜いて立体的なシナリオに組み立てます。この“舞台”や“ジオラマ”によるシナリオ制作の題材は非常に多岐にわたりますが、その中心軸となっているのは、「描くことで、遠い存在や対立すると思われるものが、同じ空間に共存することができる」という考え方です。それぞれの作品は、想像から生まれたキャラクターによるフィクションであり、自身の内面世界を描き、心に宿る矛盾を可視化するものです
Teresa’s work has been developed mainly on paper, however she also makes use of other materials and objects that form part of the universes that the artist creates. Currea uses traditional drawing techniques such as watercolor, graphite pencil, ink, acrylic and gouache for her drawings, which are later cut out and assembled into three-dimensional scenes. In the creation of these “scenes” or “Dioramas” the subject matter is very varied. However, the central axis of her work is the idea that through drawing things that would be thought to be distant or opposite can coexist in the same space. Each work is a fiction with characters created from the imagination, resorting to her own inner world and making visible the contradictions that inhabit her mind.
