私の芸術制作は、絵画を起点として、インスタレーション、パフォーマンス、彫刻といった多様なメディアを用い、イメージの生成とその持続・消失という問いに向き合う試みです。作品は視覚的表現に留まらず、空間に現れる現象とそこで生じる対話を重視し、その場固有の揺らぎや含みと共鳴することを意図しています。1960年代の日本前衛美術運動の革新的精神と、オーストラリアで出会った哲学・作品に触発された思想が、私の創作活動の根幹を成しており、その場特有の手触りや出会う皆さんとの対話を最も重視しています。
21世紀に入り、急速な技術の発展は、過去や未来を鮮明に想像させ、物理的隔たりを超えた現在の共有を実現しました。これらの変化は時間と空間の概念に新たな意味を与え、制御可能な領域が広がる一方で、制御不可能な時間の流れが私たちに常に問いを投げかけてきます。デジタルネイティブとして生まれた私は、この世界で理論と実践を行き来しながら、内面の感性と外界の変容が交錯する場を創出し、美術にしかできない現代社会における新たな表現の可能性を探求し続けています。
My artistic practice begins with painting and employs a diverse range of media—including installations, performance, and sculpture—to engage with the questions surrounding the creation, persistence, and disappearance of images. My work is not confined to mere visual expression; rather, it emphasizes the phenomena that emerge within a space and the dialogues they inspire, aiming to resonate with the unique fluctuations and nuances of each environment. The innovative spirit of the Japanese avant-garde art movement of the 1960s, along with the philosophies and artworks I encountered in Australia, forms the core of my creative practice, where I place utmost importance on the tactile qualities of a place and the interactions with its viewers.
In the 21st century, rapid technological advancements have enabled us to vividly imagine both the past and the future, and to share the present beyond physical boundaries. These changes imbue the concepts of time and space with new meanings; while the realm of what is controllable expands, the uncontrollable flow of time continuously poses questions to us. Born as a digital native, I navigate between theory and practice, creating spaces where inner sensibilities and external transformations intersect, and I continue to explore new aesthetic possibilities in contemporary society that only art can reveal.
