2017年頃からワイヤーによる作品制作を継続している。初期は過去に存在していた故人をモチーフとして、細いワイヤーを立体的に編むことで虚な像を制作していたが、2019年の瀬戸内国際芸術祭でかつて人々が生活した空き家のなかに展示したことがきっかけとなり、第に展覧会を開催する場所が持つ記憶や気配、その土地の記憶を聞き取ることで浮かび上がる土地の亡霊とでも言うような存在に関心を持ち始めた。近年では、インタビューや対話といった個人の記憶から、その場所の物語を紡ぐようにして土地の風景を立ち上げる試みを実践している。

I has been continuously creating works using wire since around 2017. Initially, my work involved creating figures by intricately weaving thin wires to represent deceased individuals who once existed. However, after exhibiting in a vacant house that was once a home for people during Setouchi Triennale in 2019, focus began to shift. Gradually became interested in the memories and subtle atmospheres of exhibition spaces, and began to explore what might be described as the “ghosts of the land.” In recent years, I has been practicing the approach of constructing the landscape of a place by weaving memories of individuals through interviews and dialogues, aiming to evoke the stories of the land.
