『Inclusive Tap（タップダンスによる誰もが取り残されない世界の創造）』『タップダンスによる社会変革』をテーマに、アフリカとアイルランドをルーツに持つ移民達の文化であるタップダンスの可能性を追求しながら、独自の手法を生み出し、伝統のみにとらわれない柔軟な作品制作、プロジェクトを行う。

Under the themes of “Inclusive Tap (Creation of a world where no one is left behind through tap dance)” and “Social Change through Tap Dance,” they pursue the possibilities of tap dance, a culture of immigrants with roots in Africa and Ireland, while creating unique techniques and creating flexible works and projects that are not bound only by tradition. 岡山県出身。中央⼤学法学部卒業。
大学では法律を専攻し「まちづくり」「コミュニティデザイン」「コモンズ」の研究を行う。
より人々に寄り添いながらプロジェクトを進めたいという思いから、教授職志望からタップダンサーとしての道を目指すため、卒業後単身New Yorkへ。

スウェーデンで開かれる世界最⾼峰のタップフェスティバル「Stockholm Tap Festival」にて⽇本・アジアへの普及をテーマにスカラシップ取得。
現在は東京・New Yorkを拠点に、五ッ星ホテルや⼤使館などで開催される国際的なパーティに数多く出演。

主演映画『ENSEMBLE』にてカンヌ、ニューヨーク、ベルリン、ロンドン、ソウルの国際映画祭にノミネート、受賞。
NY・ハーレムに実在する歴史あるジャズクラブ「Cotton Club」でのパフォーマンス、Broadwayの有名ライブハウスThe Iridiumでは国際的に活躍するジャズバンドTHE HOT SARDINESとのパフォーマンスを成功させる。

2011年東⽇本⼤震災復興⽀援をきっかけに、宮城県気仙沼にて、タップアートによるコミュニティ再生事業として「椅子タップダンスプロジェクト」をスタート。

同年、タップアートを通じて社会貢献活動を⾏う『Freiheit Tap Contribution Project』を発起。
東京・NY・気仙沼を拠点に被災地支援、地域活性化、コミュニティ形成、高齢者福祉、教育、障害者福祉に取り組む。
NHK「あさイチ」「ごごナマ」出演、内閣府広報室発⾏「Highlighting Japan」掲載。
講演会講師、⼤学講師なども務めている。

Born in Okayama Prefecture. Graduated from Chuo University, Faculty of Law.
He majored in law at university and conducted research on urban development, community design, and the commons.
After graduating from Chuo University, he moved to New York to pursue a career as a tap dancer.

He received a scholarship to the Stockholm Tap Festival, the world’s largest tap festival held in Sweden, with the theme of promoting tap dance in Japan and Asia.
Currently based in Tokyo and New York, he performs at international parties in five-star hotels and the Council Hall.

He has been nominated for and won awards at Cannes, New York, Berlin, London, and Seoul for his film “Ensemble”.
He performed at the Cotton Club, a historic jazz club in Harlem, NY, and at the Iridium, a famous live music club on the Broadway, with the internationally acclaimed jazz band THE HOT SARDINES.

In 2011, in support of the reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, he started the “Chair Tap Dance Project” in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, as a community revitalization project using tap art.

In the same year, he launched the Freiheit Tap Contribution Project, a social contribution project through tap art.
Based in Tokyo, New York, and Kesennuma, he is involved in disaster relief, community revitalization, community building, welfare for the elderly, education, and welfare for the disabled.
He has appeared on NHK’s “Asa Ichi” and “Gogo-Nama” programs and in “Highlighting Japan” published by the Public Relations Office of the Cabinet Office.
He is also a lecturer and university lecturer.
