わたしは、物事が日常化する過程、偶然が起きる原理、ある特定の社会の中の小宇宙的な慣習、そして人の本質の共通性について研究している。社会の真実性 / 現実性やフィクション性 /ドラマ性はどのように私たちの認識に影響し、私たちを導いているのか？真実を装ったものはいつ、なぜ真実に変わるのか？
そのような疑問の目を日常生活の中で起きるシチュエーションや現象に向け、分析し、遊び心あふれるアイロニカルな要素に解釈。 そして、時間・現実世界を記録する媒体である、写真・映像・メディア・記号・言語・記憶・ コミュニケーション・過程・偶然・公共性・学問を用いて、様々な芸術の分野が融合されたサイト・スペシフィックな作品＝現象に形作る。
それらの現象は、鑑賞者の中に現実味のある違和感を残し、鑑賞者は今までの物事の見方を問うような体験をすることになる。
そして、鑑賞者は見るだけにとどまらず、与えられた「作品」という枠組みを能動的に書き替えていく。その中に芸術・芸術でないもの・観客・芸術家といった明確な境界はない。体験者自身が今この時この場所で芸術を形作っていき、社会と意識を更新していく。
Hamawaki delves into how we are confronted with and unconsciously manipulated by the truthfulness and fictionality of society. This exploration is translated into situation-specific actions and installations, utilizing ironic and narrative elements that create situations leaving a tangible sense of dissonance in the viewers’ perception. The audience experiences a challenge to their previous ways of seeing things. Elements based on time and reality, such as language, signs, gestures, memories, communications, coincidences, light, media recordings, public spaces, and sciences, are incorporated.
These situations simultaneously embody phenomenon, art, and non-art, existing in a tension between everyday life and staged events. Participants actively shape the art and continuously rewrite shared societal consciousness.

1995 年、兵庫県に生まれる。 高校卒業後 2013 年よりデュッセルドルフ （ドイツ）に在住し、日本・ドイツを拠点に制作活動。
ソロ作品『WORKBOOK』、『PUBLIKUMSBEFRAGUNG』や兵庫県各地のギャラリーでの個展の他、デュッセルドルフ芸術家協会、クンストパラスト美術館でのグループ展にも参加。また、 オーバーハウゼンのアートハウス芸術 総監 Thomas Lehmen (2016年～ )、 デュッセルドルフ在住の振付家、皆藤 千香子 (2017年～ )、および演出家 Glen Hawkins (2022年～)らと共同制作。

Born in 1995 in Kobe, Japan. Based in Düsseldorf, Germany since 2013.
Besides Hamawaki’s solo works such as “WORKBOOK” and “PUBLIKUMSBEFRAGUNG”, as well as group exhibitions at the Düsseldorf Artists’ Association, the Kunstpalast Museum, and various galleries in Japan, Hamawaki regulary collaborates with Thomas Lehmen, the artistic director of the Arthouse in Oberhausen (since 2016), Düsseldorf-based-choreographer Chikako Kaido (since 2017), and director Glen Hawkins (since 2022).
