fune（フーン）

中之条町にあふれる、たくさんの「音」。その音からイメージした音楽をミュージシャンが演奏し、それを街の皆さん、観客の皆さんが「絵」でビジュアル化し、見る「音楽」を作っていく。そんな参加型のオープニングイベント。
私たちは《音を絵で記録する》プロジェクトを行っているグループです。音をビジュアルに感じる共感覚は、皆さんの中に眠っている能力。その感覚を揺り起こす体験をしていただくための参加型ライブペイントが《音を絵で記録する》プロジェクト。ギャラリー、小学校、カフェ、フェスなどで大勢の人々と音を記録してきました。今回は中之条の音を使い、中之条の土地でその体験をしていただきます。
「音を絵で描く」のではありません。「音を絵で記録」してください。「記録」ですから上手に絵を描く必要はなく、正解のビジュアルもありません。ただ、皆さんの感じた音をあなただけの色や形へ、思いのままに筆を走らせることが、このイベントの目的です。
音をビジュアルで表現する体験をすることで、その後の音の聴き方に変化があるように感じています。日常の音がビジュアルで感じるという、形のない作品を皆さんの心に残せたらと思います。皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。

You could hear or feel plenty of sounds filling this lovely and tiny town, Nakanojo. In this opening event of the festival, we, musicians, will play music inspired by that sounds. Then you, people in this town or audiences, will visualize them by painting so that you could create “visible music”. This is such an interactive event.
We are a group promoting an unique project to provide experiences to “record sounds by painting”, which could stimulate your potential ”Synesthesia”. As you may know, ”Synesthesia” exists inside your body. Actually, so many audiences have been participated in our events to “record sounds by painting” in such as a gallery, a preliminary school, a café or festivals. We are really glad for this opportunity to have this interactive and special event here in Nakanojo, enjoying the sounds in it.
You can feel relaxed since this event is not to “draw sounds by painting” but just “record sounds by painting”. Naturally, you don’t have to draw them well because it’s just “recording”. Of course, there is no answers to stick to. We would stress again this event is just to feel sounds and to put your brush on the canvas freely.
We believe the experience above could make some positive difference in our way of feeling sounds.
It would be our utmost pleasure if we could leave formless and priceless pieces in your memory through this event. We are truly looking forward to seeing you.
