飯沼洋子とアーサー・バーブーは両者とも現代美術家であり、フランス、アーティストグループのアソシエーションであるルフォプラ (lefauxplat) の創設メンバーでもある。 彼らは様々なプロジェクトや展覧会にて、コラボレーションしながら制作している。
飯沼洋子はその制作の中で、場よりインスピレーションを受け、内密的インテリアとその向こう側についての、空間の関係性とその枠組みを探り、滞在中にて収集する素材や布を利用し、表現していく。それは展示という表現される空間の中で、捨てさられたブーケの様でもある。
アーサー・バーブーはヴィデオとインスタレーションの狭間にその作品をおき、滞在生活から生まれるストーリーとそれを得る以前の死にゆくファンタジーとの合間にあるその最期を、あるループする現実、その時空の内に留める。
コラボレーションを通して、彼らはより、場の記憶、その二重性、そしてその場にいた、もしくはいたであろう、いるであろう、生命との直接的リンクを中心に制作する。
IINUMA Yoko and BARBE Arthur are both contemporary artists, founder members of the association lefauxplat, and also works both together on diverse projects and exhibitions.
Yoko IINUMA reveals constructions framing two spaces, which of an interior-intimate and outside of this interior, using fabrics and other materials harvested during his residences, experiences or travels. It likes some bouquets, abandoned in the space of the exhibitions.
Arthur BARBE places his work halfway between the video and the installation, between the narrative of his journey and the dying fantasies of the one he was before undertaking it, letting them pause one last time in a short loop of our space-time.
By collaborating, they work more on the memory of the places, on their dualities and on their direct links with the beings who run through them. They are both interested by the hidden world we all have within us, and how a bedroom can be the exact expression of our own intimate space, in the same time in the real world and in a fictive one.
