「場を含む彫刻」を目指して作品を制作しています。時間や場所の痕跡を持つ廃材や個人的な記憶に由来する材料などを用いて、場の特性に形のインスピレーションを求めた彫刻をつくってきました。材料と対話しながら制作を進め、強度やバランスといった物理的な必然性を構造や形状の手がかりとしています。造形的な視点から少し離れたところにある「日常の普遍性」が形に含まれることで、普段目にしたことのある「どこかで見たかたち」が現れ、個人の記憶と結びつくのではないかと考えています。

I am creating works aimed at ‘sculptures that include the space.’ Using materials derived from traces of time and place, as well as personal memories, I have been making sculptures that seek inspiration for form from the characteristics of the space. I progress in the creation while interacting with the materials, using physical necessities such as strength and balance as clues for structure and shape. I believe that the ‘universality of everyday life,’ which is somewhat detached from a sculptural perspective, is contained in the form, leading to the emergence of ‘shapes seen somewhere’ that are connected to personal memories.
