私にとって美術とは「この世界で生き続けるための自己の本質を、信用を疑念を繰り返す中で執拗に探り続けること」だと考えている。
版画が印刷(コピー)による複数性や絵画とデザイン両方の要素を持っていること、またそれらの要素をイメージの起点として分野の横断を試みる。
作品制作の過程と実践においては、自身の原風景である瀬戸内の海景がそうであるように、人と自然が並列に共生する関係性について再考し、それを版画技法や複製技術におけるインダストリアルな側面や、マテリアルごとに生じる視覚的な差異などを糸口としてビジュアル化することを試みている。
To me, art is “A relentless search for the essence of oneself in order to continue living in this world, while repeatedly doubting one’s faith.”
I attempt to cross disciplines by using the fact that prints have multiple properties due to printing (copy) and elements of both painting and design, and by using these elements as a starting point for images.
In my work, I reconsider the relationship
between people and nature in parallel and symbiosis, as in the seascapes of my hometown in the Seto Inland Sea. Then attempt to visualize this relationship by using the industrial aspects of printmaking and reproduction techniques, and the visual differences that arise from different materials, as clues.
